When a common cold can make your chest feel like it is weighed down by a boulder, when spring pollen and winter cold air become enemies of your breath, when you wake up in the middle of the night gasping for air—asthma is affecting more than 300 million people worldwide. The hyperbaric oxygen chamber starts from this very root cause. In a pressurized environment, the concentration of oxygen dissolved in the blood increases significantly, penetrating directly into the depths of hypoxic tissues, sending calming signals to spasmodic airways and delivering restorative energy to damaged mucosa.

What is Asthma?
The essence of asthma is a chronic inflammatory state of the airways involving various inflammatory cells, leading to airway hyperresponsiveness and reversible airflow limitation. Its symptoms are episodic: chest tightness like a boulder pressing on the chest, shortness of breath like being strangled, and high-pitched wheezing on exhalation, often worsening at night or in the early morning.
The difficulty of asthma lies in its recurrent and unpredictable nature. You never know when the next attack will come, and each attack feels like an invisible hand is choking your throat. During an asthma attack, airway smooth muscle spasms, mucosal edema, and increased mucus secretion cause widespread airway narrowing, significantly reducing gas exchange efficiency. Patients become trapped in a situation where inhalation is difficult and exhalation is even harder, with residual gas trapped in the lungs and insufficient tissue oxygen supply, forming a vicious cycle of hypoxia → aggravated airway spasm → more severe hypoxia. Although conventional bronchodilators and corticosteroids can relieve symptoms, they struggle to break this cycle.
The main populations affected by asthma: children and adolescents are at higher risk due to their developing immune systems. Individuals with allergic constitutions are at significantly increased risk. Those with a family history of asthma, obese individuals, and those long-term exposed to allergens or occupational irritants are also at higher risk.
The harm of asthma is cumulative. Recurrent attacks directly affect learning, work, and sleep. Emergency medical visits bring financial burdens and psychological stress. More seriously, long-term poor control can lead to irreversible airway remodeling of the airway wall structure, with progressive decline in lung function. Therefore, scientific management of asthma lies not only in controlling each attack, but also in fundamentally suppressing airway inflammation and preventing airway remodeling.
Modern asthma treatment is based on inhaled corticosteroids, supplemented by long-acting bronchodilators, with rescue medication on standby. However, these methods struggle to fundamentally block the vicious cycle of hypoxia-inflammation. When airways repeatedly spasm and mucosal edema persists, local tissues remain in a state of chronic hypoxia, and the repair process is severely slowed. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is exactly the key means to break this cycle.
How Does a Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber Treat Asthma?
Hyperbaric oxygen chamber therapy is a physical therapy involving breathing high-concentration oxygen in an environment with pressure higher than atmospheric pressure. Studies have shown that HBOT can reduce airway inflammation by increasing cytochrome oxidase activity, promoting aerobic metabolism, and reducing serum chemokine expression. The specific principles and effects of HBOT as an adjunctive treatment for asthma:
Increasing intracellular cAMP levels relaxes bronchial smooth muscle
HBOT can increase intracellular cyclic AMP concentration, a key signaling molecule for maintaining bronchial dilation. When cAMP is sufficient, airway smooth muscle naturally relaxes, and the lumen returns to patency.
Reducing airway mucosal edema improves ventilation
HBOT constricts peripheral blood vessels, reduces bronchial mucosal congestion and edema, and inhibits excessive glandular secretion.
Improving lung and systemic tissue hypoxia stabilizes the internal environment
HBOT can significantly increase arterial oxygen partial pressure and oxygen saturation, correct acidosis and electrolyte disturbances, and increase the body’s sensitivity to bronchodilator medications.
Regulating immune function suppresses airway inflammation
Studies have found that after HBOT, levels of neutrophil elastase and eosinophil cationic protein in airway sputum of asthma patients significantly decrease, and the Th1/Th2 immune balance is improved, calming airway inflammation at the root.
Inhibiting oxidative stress protects airway tissue
HBOT can reduce the production of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species, lowering oxidative stress levels.
Clinical research data also support the efficacy of HBOT. A randomized controlled study published in 2026 showed that the observation group receiving HBOT combined with salmeterol/fluticasone achieved a total efficacy rate of 95.65%, significantly higher than the control group’s 83.61%. Indicators such as PaO₂, SaO₂, and FEV1 were all significantly better in the HBOT group. Another study in 2024 also confirmed that HBOT combined with budesonide/formoterol inhalation can significantly improve lung function, blood gas indicators, and immune function in patients.
| Key Indicator | Outcome with Conventional Treatment | Outcome with HBOT Combined Treatment | Core Significance |
| Overall Efficacy Rate | 80%-85% | Over 95% | Significantly improves clinical efficacy |
| Arterial Oxygen Partial Pressure | Limited improvement | Significantly increased | Improves systemic oxygen supply |
| FEV1 Lung Function | Slow improvement | Significantly higher than control group | Restores ventilation capacity |
| Airway Inflammatory Factors | Persistently elevated | NE and ECP significantly decreased | Suppresses airway inflammation |
| Immune Function | Th1/Th2 imbalance | Immune balance improved | Regulates inflammation at the root |

Our products are sold both domestically and internationally, with guaranteed quality and pricing, allowing more people to access cutting-edge health support technology at a reasonable cost.
Compared with traditional medical hyperbaric chambers, Kaixin home chambers offer more convenient home daily management. There is no need to travel to and from the hospital. When breathing is difficult, users can enter the chamber for conditioning at any time. The high concentration of negative ions inside the chamber helps stabilize breathing. Negative ions also purify the air inside the chamber, creating a healthier breathing environment. The BIBS system improves oxygen inhalation efficiency, maximizes treatment effects, and makes every conditioning session efficient and effective.
Our Shell Cabin resembles a Hobbit house, like a fairytale cottage, healing to the heart. Its cute, rounded appearance and warm, bright interior effectively alleviate anxiety about enclosed spaces. This healing design bridges the distance between the device and the user, making every conditioning session a pleasant experience of relaxation, and naturally improving treatment outcomes.
Real Case: The Journey Back to Deep Breathing
Margaret, a 52-year-old nurse from Canada, had been troubled by moderate asthma for twenty years. Every pollen season and seasonal change, she would experience frequent attacks, often waking up at night gasping for air, and her daily activities were limited. Despite standard use of inhaled corticosteroids, she still visited the hospital 2-3 times per year for acute exacerbations. During a respiratory follow-up visit, her doctor suggested that she try HBOT as an adjunctive method on top of standard medication. After comparison, she chose the Kaixin home hyperbaric chamber.
Month 1 of conditioning: 4 sessions per week (1.5 ATA, 60 minutes). Nighttime wheezing attacks decreased from 3-4 times per week to 1-2 times, and sleep quality significantly improved.
Month 3 of conditioning: During the peak pollen season, which would inevitably trigger attacks in previous years, she only experienced mild airway responses this year and did not develop into acute exacerbation. Follow-up pulmonary function showed FEV1 increased by about 15% compared to before conditioning.
Long-term maintenance: She has developed the habit of conditioning 2-3 times per week, and the frequency of acute exacerbations has significantly decreased. She said, “This oxygen chamber, like a fairytale cottage, makes me believe that free breathing is not a luxury, but something that can be actively nurtured.”

When our management strategy expands from relying solely on medication to actively improving airway oxygen supply and suppressing inflammation, we take a solid step towards true freedom of breathing. Hyperbaric oxygen chamber therapy is precisely such an anti-inflammatory and repair agent that deeply penetrates the airway microenvironment. By enhancing the body’s most fundamental level of oxygenation, it sends calming signals to spasmodic airways and delivers restorative energy to hypoxic lung tissue. Kingsahre hyperbaric oxygen chamber makes every deep breath stronger and more composed.
